EXCERPTS FROM INTRODUCTION
Legacy:Something handed down from an ancestor or predecessor or from the past. [Middle English: legacia. Medieval Latin: legatia; legatus: to depute, bequeathe.]
Laboratory: A place for practice, observation or testing. [Medieval Latin: laboratorium, from Latin labordre, to labor.]
Sitting next to you: Those people
Who are the people sitting next to you? You might say names and describe how tall they are, the color of their eyes and hair, who they look like or who they remind you of.
But none of these things are what the individual is. Individuals, including those sitting next to you, are a world of invisible activities.
The people sitting next to you are a unique world of experiences. Within them are energies that have only been partially awakened.
Those sitting next to you are really individual communities. And in those communities live still the father and mother of these people, their brothers and sisters, the boys and girls with whom they played most, the people with whom they went to school, and the people with whom they worked and competed. These things are deep within and will never depart.
These people participated in history-making, even though feebly, trying hardest to make a way and to lift up a sign for all other people and all other peoples children to see, in a world that often makes no sense at all.
Way down underneath, these people sitting next to you are also commitments. And these commitments are covered by layer after layer of compromise and injury and hurt. But at some point after admitting the shortness of life and its frailness, the evil in the world, each one says, "Nevertheless, I am me; a person."(author unknown)
I wish I had written this; Im glad to have, at least, found it.
Legacy is a rich word that endows substance. It is a ripe word that speaks of maturity. Legacy ographies allow you to bestow intangible wealth upon those who come after.
Through Legacy Laboratory, you can provide such a record for those who come after you. You can record the person you are and pass this priceless knowledge, organized and in tact, to both your heirs and others who care. The permanent record of a life lived is not just a tribute for celebrities. It is a commemoration for all people!
My grandmother always said, "Every person's life is a story, even a whole book. It just needs to be told!" I believe this. From the time I was 10 years old, interviewing her about our family history as she stood in her kitchen kneading homemade potato bread, I have never lost this belief.
Your Legacy Laboratory is a gift to the generations that only you can give!
So, welcome to Legacy Laboratory, the place where you may express all that stuff that is waiting inside you, wanting to be recorded saved, savored, shared.LABORATORY ASSIGNMENT

Legacy Laboratory Saving Lives One Anecdote At A Timeis a springboard for people who want to write personal history.
THE BAD NEWS AND THE GOOD NEWS
The tone of Legacy Laboratory is conversational many times giving the Reader a choice of more than one word, to enhance meaning (a technique borrowed from the Amplified Bible). This will either distract/annoy or enlighten/inform the Reader. The book is filled with clichιs. Its style is exceedingly informal with far too liberal a use of italicizing and bolding.
But the book scans easily, even for a somewhat slow Reader, and it is full of specific tips on how to do a very good job of storytelling while you are at it, anyway.
ONE SIZE FITS ALL
Strong writing is strong writing. Zells SAC Technique is strong writing.
Small BunnyTrail portions in Legacy Laboratory will appeal to the inexperienced, very busy and/or cautious writer; the intensity of WholeHog writing will suit those with time and interest to "go deep and build high."
To repeat a familiar caution: If youre afraid to make a mistake, you wont make anything. To put a remark of Israels King David another way, My pen is the tongue of a ready writer.
